How to choose an AI template
In a category this young, every template is an opinion about what AI products should look like — and the collection actually holds two different shelves. One is templates for AI businesses: chat interfaces, agent dashboards, model-product landing pages. The other is templates made by AI site generators — accelerated starting points for any business at all. Know which shelf you're browsing, because the pinned builders above serve both and they're different tools.
If you're launching an AI product, the site's best argument is the product itself: a live demo, a real interaction, an honest example of output. Buyers have seen a year of orbiting-gradient AI landing pages and have stopped believing adjectives; a template with room for "try it here" outsells one with room for three paragraphs about transformation. Show the model working or the site is a promise — and state limits and pricing plainly to finish the job.
If you're using the AI-generated shelf, treat the output as a competent first draft that has read the same internet as everyone else's first draft. The generators are genuinely fast — a usable site in minutes — but their taste is an average. The value you add is specificity: your words, your screenshots, your customers' language. Ship the draft unedited and you've published the average.
One caution for both shelves: fashion. AI design conventions are aging in months, not years — this quarter's glow effects are next quarter's dated tell. Favor templates whose structure would survive with the AI styling removed; the trend is the paint, not the house.
